8/7/2023 0 Comments Room movie escape![]() ![]() This is made worse by there being limited actions required in most rooms and so some in the group will be spectators for some (or most) puzzles. The others in our group were nice enough, but took over many of the puzzles so we had little input in some rooms. However, it can lead to some puzzles being incomplete when you are moved on, or the group not understanding whether youve completed the puzzle, some parts of the storyline were rushed to the degree we weren't following all of the storyline, and, for us, defeated the object of the 'escape' element of an escape room.Īs a couple we couldn't reasonably book a private experience, so we were grouped with 2 other parties, which is never ideal. This no doubt improves the capacity of the attraction, as multiple groups can be taking part at the same time at different stages, and every group will get to experience the full attraction. The setup involves a progressive 'walkthrough' of each themed room once you complete the puzzle, or when you've taken too long. At $60 per person, the attraction is expensive compared to other escape rooms. The downsides - the experience itself unfortunately fell short of our expectations. The puzzles varied in difficulty meaning families should all be able to take part in many parts of the experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly before and after our experience. The building itself was immaculate and the lobby has the feel of a theatre or cinema, which sets the scene nicely prior to the experience. Serious thought had gone into creating the storyline, including the hints given by characters in the attraction, and rooms really reminded us of some of our favourite movie scenes. ![]() The upsides - The theming was impressive and immersive. I don't want to give too much away in this review so I'll try to keep this as general as I can while providing candid feedback. We visited Universal's Great Movie Escape on it's opening night and completed the Back to the Future room. ![]()
